“Wise Cut” provides a 30-day free trial for each new registered user.

Wise Cut does not ask for any user name ? How to log in ?2022-08-30T09:00:03+00:00

Please register first. After successful registration, use the phone number and password you used to log in and the same company can only register one account to enjoy one-month free trial rights

What is the difference between the roles of a company administrator and a company user?2022-08-26T08:39:45+00:00

Both can create optimization job. But the company administrator can also invite other colleagues in the company to join as users and add new orders. The company users do not have this authority.

What data do I need to prepare before cutting with “Wise Cut“?2022-08-26T08:40:16+00:00

When using “WiseCut” for the first time, you need to enter the factory setting in accordance with the factory machine operating parameters. You then enter the order-related data including: the order quantity to be produced, SET size, working panel sizes inclusive of the working areas, and sheet types. You also enter the various laminate sizes you use and the dimension and quantities of restock laminates, if available.

Why do you need to fill in the factory settings before performing the laminate optimization jobs?2022-08-26T08:40:38+00:00

Because the software will calculate based on your own factory unique environment , it is essential the software has all the machine operating parameters for the best optimization results.

What is the difference between different optimization results after each job is run?2022-08-26T08:41:21+00:00

“Wise Cut” will calculate several results for customers to choose:

The first is the reference result calculated on the basis of individual part number input. This is based on the size and quantity of the part number , and the surface treatment requirements entered by the customer. The result shows

a)how much materials need to be issued;
b)how many working panels are produced,
c)what is the shipping area and;
d)the utilization rate of the part number

as if each part number is calculated independently,

Wise Cut will deliver the following different results for customers to choose:

1. “Achieving the highest utilization rate”- This result is the result of the highest possible utilization rate. But this result may produce restock based on the minimum size of working panels entered in the factory setting.
2. “Zero restock returned” – This result is the highest possible utilization rate calculated without generated restock laminate to return to the warehouse.
3. “Minimum number of Working Panels” – This result is the highest possible utilization calculated on the basis with the least number of working panels.
4. “Using the most number of restock laminates” – This result is the highest possible utilization on the basis of using the most quantities of restock laminates in the warehouse first.
5. “Combination of all part numbers”- This result is the highest possible utilization by considering all the part numbers’ input data. This combination may sometimes be the same as the 1-4 results above.

How secure is my data?2022-08-26T08:41:56+00:00

We use industry-standard SSL point-to-point encryption for encryption, and all data is transmitted under encryption to ensure data security.

Does it take a long time to enter data?2022-08-26T08:42:38+00:00

Just minutes

What do I get with Wise Cut?2022-08-26T08:43:10+00:00

Employees: can improve work efficiency and reduce work pressure;
Boss: can save hundreds of thousands dollars of laminate costs every month
Because there is less waste of sheet metal, it also contributes to environmental protection

What do I need to change using Wise Cut?2022-08-26T08:45:32+00:00

When preparing the engineering file of a new part number, if you like to increase the laminate optimization utilization rate in the future, you can consider setting the working space to be the minimum required based on your machine parameters. For example, if at least 13mm working area is required for HASL process, you should only set 13mm for the working space instead of adding more simply because there is extra space available on the laminate sheet. Because in the laminate optimization when you have many different part numbers together, 1mm working space could increase your utilization rate by as much as 10%.

What is the difference between “Wise Cut” and other optimization software on the market?2022-08-30T09:01:36+00:00

The optimization software on the market can only calculate : 1) the highest utilization rate of a single part number or 2) how to fit different park number sets into a working panel .

For allocating working panels into a laminate sheet, there is NO such software available in the market until the arrival of “Wise Cut”. The allocation of working panels into a laminate sheet has all been done manually.

“Wise Cut” uses cloud-based server less technology to perform rapid and sophisticated calculation to deliver optimized results. There is no need to install any software. You just input the part number dimension data, ordered quantities and the laminate sheet and restock laminate dimension information. An optimized laminate utilization result and the corresponding cutting maps will be generated in minutes.

How is usage calculated?2022-08-26T08:46:55+00:00

After hitting the submit button, it will be treated as “one” time towards the usage count.

How to improve utilization?2022-08-30T09:00:46+00:00

Optimization is done by combining actual production requirements of a number of part number of different sizes using the same type of laminate. The results will help PCB factory reduce the laminate waste with a higher laminate utilization result.

How to accurately calculate utilization?2022-08-26T08:47:45+00:00

The correct calculation of the utilization rate is confusing to many people.

Most people will try to show high utilization rate by:
1.) counting the working space area when calculating the utilization rate; or
2.) returning unused laminate as restock laminates thereby reducing the material issuance quantities

Because of the above factors, many PCB factories now think that it has reached 95%-97%.

But from the company’s point of view, most customers will only pay for the actual shipping area. When the company subtracts the working space (for example, a copper-plated and tin-sprayed circuit board requires a 14-16mm working side), it is completely impossible to achieve a utilization rate of 95%-97%.

The correct formula for calculating true utilization is as follows:

Actual utilization rate = (actual product shipped meters/ (Material issued meters – Restock laminate returned to warehouse)

As a result, it is of paramount importance PCB factories use the correct formula to calculate the actual laminate utilization rate. Also too many restock will not only distort the actual utilization rate, it will create wastage as such restock laminate could be left unused easily.
